With this body of work I set up the problem of how to put form to intimate experiences with nature; say, night swimming off an island in Lake Michigan, or twilight climbs up the icy slopes of Yosemite’s precipices, or the sound of peepers while picking wild swamp flowers in a marsh by my house, yet without the literal narrative nor iconic appearances of lakes, mountains or bogs
